Accountancy and Bookkeeping roles can often vary due to whether you are responsible for a corporation’s accounting needs or the personal finance of an individual. Any business whether it is micro, large or global is involved in a great deal of financial activity and has the need for it all to be managed and recorded accurately. Your Accountancy and Bookkeeping Apprenticeship will provide you with the skills to help start, or progress, your career in finance. Companies may employ you (once qualified) as a:

  • Accounts Assistant
  • Cashier
  • Credit Control Clerk
  • Purchase or Sales Ledger Clerk
  • Finance Assistant

There are many different levels of Accountancy to develop your degree of competency and skill. Those trained in this profession may find tasks include: processing invoices and payments, VAT returns, balancing accounts, pay-roll and preparing financial statements/reports.

Upon completion of the higher Apprenticeship in Accountancy you could progress into full membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians, you may also find it is possible to enter into one of the higher education courses related to accounting such as banking or insurance services etc.
